PLEASE contact us if you are interested in helping in any way to EDUCATE, COLLABORATE or expand our relationships and knowledge about horses or building a healthy sustainable community.
Horse communities are formed around horses and the people who want to keep them. As Wellington grows it is requiring our values and beliefs about horses and community to be defined.
Although the Equestrian Element of the Comprehensive plan outlines the major components for open space, trails, environmental protection and horse keeping, implementation and the “how tos” still need input.
Understanding how to merge equestrian activities and lifestyle into communities is both an art and science which many other communities have experienced. Equestrian Lands Conservation Resource ( http://www.elcr.org/index.php) is one resource and WE will have a number of others in the RESOURCE section on horses, farm management, community development.
From Eco-Friendly Horse Management to Equestrian Tourism, from Riders to Sports Psychologists, from Non-Profits to Rescues, and from Government to Businesses, we will be bringing the BEST Wellington has to offer. WE invite you to contribute your knowledge, time, ideas or resources.
WELCOME – WE look forward to knowing and sharing with you.
